THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance while supporting key business operations. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
- Reconciling key financial accounts and proactively resolving discrepancies.
- Processing payroll for employees, ensuring precision and adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Maintaining detailed payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and reconciliations.
- Collaborating with project managers to effectively allocate costs to projects.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint Spectrum is a plus).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting functions.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
