Employees are provided the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. We are currently seeking CNC Grinder Operators for 1st and 2nd shifts. Salary based on experience. We will work with the right candidate to teach them our specific equipment if they know the principles of grinding.

Gallmar is seeking an OD/ID grinder with experience working on small-lot production on manual grinding machines and thread grinding machines. Opportunities will be given to learning new machines if attitude and aptitude are demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks.
• Carry out operational tasks by following established processes.
• Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
• Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
• Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and, depth gauges.
• Instruction and drawings - Exchange information with people by having courteous interactions with them.
• Work with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Uses clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actions.
• Works with guidance to plan, organize, and prioritize activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
• The workplace is a production environment where all jobs have a measured standard production rate that needs to meet and individuals are responsible for the quality of their own work.

Qualifications

• Good hand/eye coordination and the full range motion of both hands and arms on a regular basis reading, writing and oral communication skills in the English language.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with manual grinding machines or CNC or O.D. experience holding tolerances as low as 0.0001" - 0.0003"
• Proficient in blueprint reading with knowledge of GD&T features high energy team player who is self-motivated but with the ability to work self-sufficiently analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Organized and detailed oriented with knowledge of basic shop math.
• Experience working on relevant machines or similar manual machines is a must.
• 2-5 years’ experience in operating grinding equipment
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally and written with all levels of the organization
• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Willing to train on all grinding equipment

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
