weekends required with 1-2 flexible days during the week
Compensation
You'll be responsible for preparing the tasting room for daily opening and closing, promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products, and serving as an informed resource on winemaking, winegrowing, and wine vintages. You'll describe wines and winemaking techniques, provide general tourist information, and handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating the cash register and accounting for daily sales. Additionally, you'll support the display and stocking of retail items, will sometimes assist with hospitality events, participate in inventory management, process phone and wine shipping orders, and ensure compliance with state regulations for serving alcohol. Representing our brand professionally and enthusiastically, you'll multitask with a focus on detail and adaptability.

You'll be responsible for preparing the tasting room for daily opening and closing, promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products, and serving as an informed resource on winemaking, winegrowing, and wine vintages. You'll describe wines and winemaking techniques, provide general tourist information, and handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating the cash register and accounting for daily sales. Additionally, you'll support the display and stocking of retail items, will sometimes assist with hospitality events, participate in inventory management, process phone and wine shipping orders, and ensure compliance with state regulations for serving alcohol. What You'll Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
- Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
- Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Knowledge of wine and wine production.
