POSITION OVERVIEW:
Gallopade is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. You will join in the development and implementation of a range of marketing collateral, projects, and campaigns for business objectives that drive growth and provide support across the organization. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
The ideal candidate will be highly capable of assisting with projects that prioritize the messaging and communications of our products and services, with an emphasis on the in-classroom market. This role is suitable for individuals who possess a self-reliant work style, exceptional writing and editorial abilities, and display meticulous attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE:
- Develop content strategy and processes with the Director of Marketing
- Develop compelling marketing content across multiple channels (email, social media, blog, website, and print materials)
- Own the content lifecycle management from ideation, creation, and editing through to approvals, distribution, measurement, and maintenance
- Create content for campaigns and concept new plans to help impact the sale of Gallopade’s Curriculum and library of thousands of titles.
- Craft effective email marketing campaigns
- Create engaging content that resonates with educators, administrators, and curriculum directors
- Monitor content performance metrics and optimize strategies accordingly
- Support the creation of sales enablement materials
- Work with the Director of Marketing to establish the brand’s tone of voice and ensure implementation and adherence across all platforms and channels
- Develop communications for the company, including press releases, flyers, catalogs, and other printed and digital formats and collateral
- Manage the biannual curriculum catalog process for 7 states
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to create and develop blog posts and social media content
- Communicate project processes and progress to the Marketing Director and team members from concept to completion
- Identify trends to keep the business on track and up to date in the market with competitors and new opportunities
- Assist with various ad-hoc marketing projects as necessary
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of how data plays a role in strategic planning.
- Has a creative approach to presenting content and information in impactful visual interpretations.
- Is extremely attentive to detail and has exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
- Has the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Can turn complex concepts into clearly articulated messaging, especially related to education and curriculum.
- Is creative, flexible, energetic, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
- Highly curious, inquisitive, and capable of conducting your own research.
- Capable of writing and designing content (emails, brochures, branded graphics, etc.).
EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or Education
- 3-5 years of marketing and/or content development experience
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong understanding of the K-12 education landscape and social studies curriculum
- Experience with content management systems and social media platforms
- Proven track record of creating successful marketing campaigns
- SEO knowledge and experience with analytics tools
- Experience in publishing, education, or marketing to educators is a plus
- Experience with Public Relations and external communications
- Experience developing, researching, and writing blogs
- Proficiency in designing content in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and ESPs (Mailchimp)
- Experience in publishing, education, or marketing to educators is a plus
