Galloway Ridge is a vibrant community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC, and we’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of several brand-new restaurants following a complete upscale renovation! We’re looking for dedicated Cooks to join our culinary team and help us deliver delicious, high-quality dishes that our residents will love.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Culinary Excellence: Prepare and produce delicious meals following standardized recipes while ensuring quality and presentation.
- Professionalism: Maintain high standards of performance and appearance, always representing Galloway Ridge with pride.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef and your fellow team members, supporting each other to achieve our culinary goals.
- Professional Growth: You will participate in all BOH training opportunities, in-services, and line-up sessions. Additionally, you will learn and work alongside some of the top culinary minds in the area.
- Service excellence: You will have the opportunity to create a culinary experience that aligns with a 5-star restaurant experience. Our goal is to not only meet expectations, but exceed them with high quality food and service.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of food service experience preferred.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Needs proficient knife skills, knowledge of protein fabrication. Cooking skills include frying, poaching, baking, roasting, stewing, braising, sautéing, grilling, and steaming.
- Must perform simple arithmetic to handle and understand measurements and recipe conversions.
- Commits to continually improving skills through educational opportunities.
- Maintains a current knowledge of applicable federal, state, or other regulations.
- Knowledge of food storage/food hierarchy and kitchen sanitation.
- Complies with GR safety policies and procedures. Reports safety hazards and injuries immediately. Provides emergency assistance to residents, visitors, or employees following proper procedures.
- Is courteous and cooperative with residents, families, co-workers, management, and other staff.
- Exhibits professionalism in conduct and appearance.
- Maintains all certifications necessary for employment.
