dependable and dedicated cook to join our team at Preston Pointe. The ideal
candidate will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals for the senior
population and demonstrates a commitment to high standards of food quality,
safety, and kitchen cleanliness. This role involves planning and preparing
meals according to established menus, following dietary guidelines, and
maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The cook will also
collaborate closely with the dining room staff to ensure timely and efficient
meal service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain safety standards at all times
- Collaborate as part of a team with excellent customer service skills
- Prepares, cooks, and presents food to order following established guidelines
and recipe specifications and implementing aesthetically pleasing plating
techniques
- Organizes and maintains work areas, coolers, and storage areas
- Community product quality and any equipment issues
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- 2-3 years of professional cooking experience greatly preferred
- Culinary school certification preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Successful background check
- Pre-employment physical and drug test
