Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Adhere to established cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring a safe and sanitary living environment for residents and staff.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to sanitize surfaces and maintain a germ-free environment.
Collaboration with Team Members
- Coordinate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and timely completion of cleaning tasks.
- Communicate effectively with caregiving and maintenance teams to address specific resident needs or maintenance issues discovered during cleaning.
- Report any safety concerns or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.
Attention to Detail
- Pay meticulous attention to detail when cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and other spaces to meet the high standards of Galloway Senior Living.
- Regularly inspect furnishings and fixtures for signs of wear or damage, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
- Assist with maintaining an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.
Resident Interaction
- Interact with residents in a courteous and respectful manner, responding to any requests or concerns promptly.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for residents.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a housekeeper in a senior living, hospitality, or healthcare setting.
Understanding of proper cleaning techniques, including knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
