What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator position at Galveston County Food Bank?
This position will report to the Inventory Manager. This position will maintain warehouse cleanliness, products for storage and distribution following all audit guidelines. Position will be required to load and unload products to or from warehouse via commercial trucks and trailers, vans and operation of all warehouse equipment. The position will operate Food Bank vehicles for pickup and deliveries for distribution. Day Shift: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. Must show warehouse experience, pass random drug testing and background check.
Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class C Drivers License with acceptable driving record
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery Box Truck, GVWR 10,100 lbs. or more
- 2 year warehouse experience
- Moving Packages 50LBS - 300LBS
- Electric pallet jack experience (Training offered)
- Forklift experience
Duties and Responsibilities

- Use hand held device for inventory
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Load and unload packages
- Work with team. Dolly's, moving straps, and automatic lift gates provided
- Standard warehouse cleaning and maintenance of equipment in 2 buildings
- Reliable and on time to start shift
