Job Description:
As a Dental Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our patients. You’ll be responsible for managing the front office operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring a seamless flow of communication between patients, dental staff, and management. This position requires excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments, ensuring the schedule runs efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide basic information regarding dental procedures and office policies.
- Verify patient insurance information and update patient records accurately.
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments, including handling billing and insurance claims.
- Maintain and manage patient files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist patients with forms, provide educational materials, and answer general questions about their dental treatment.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth transitions between appointments and assist with any administrative needs.
- Ensure the front office area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Manage email correspondence and other communication related to patient appointments and office updates.
- Help maintain patient satisfaction by addressing concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with Denticon is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable handling patient records and insurance information.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in office administration is a plus.
