About the Position
A CNC Operator I, or CNC Machine Operator I, is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of manufacturing machinery. Their duties include monitoring the machine or machines during a production run to ensure properly produced parts, inspecting dimensions and features of the machined part while keeping the CNC machine running at an optimal pace for production requirements.

Studying materials and specifications
Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
Calculating requirements
Preparing and loading raw materials onto the machines
Documenting actions
Conducting machinery checking on a daily basis
Following safety procedures and regulations
Supervising the machines

Experience and Qualifications required:
CNC Operators will have skills and qualifications related to the field of computers, machinery, and product creation. The ideal CNC Operator candidate will demonstrate the following:
Strong math skills
Ability to analyze the information provided on blueprints or other explanatory documents to make sure the final product matches the draft
Understanding of how the machine works to maintain the machinery for which they are responsible and ensure it functions properly.
Problem-solving skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft
Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and with the exception of breaks and lunch, remain at the machine throughout a shift.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CNC machine operator
Excellent technical skills
Highly developed attention to detail
Excellent analytical skills
Highly developed concentration and precision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Problem solving skills
