About the Job:
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that involve the design and development of display hardware for various applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Electrical Components and Subsystems for display products
- Support concept to production H/W including requirements analysis, electronic design, debug, test, and qualification
- Lead design, development, and test Electronic H/W products, components, and subsystems
- Develop detailed circuit board specifications, LRU level specifications, ICD's, and test plans
- Develop circuit card assembly schematics, layout guidelines, and support CCA layout
- Support component selection, procurement, and oversight of prototype hardware build
- Support concurrent engineering reviews and trade studies
- Develop engineering design fixes, and coordinate solutions
- Perform technology research, feasibility assessments, and detailed hardware design requirements definition
- Develop concepts to support advanced technology initiatives, IRADS, proposals, and demonstrators
- Strong record keeping skills with commitment to tracking design changes, debug status, H/W and S/W revisions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in electrical engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge and experience in display technologies (LCD, OLED, LED).
- Knowledge in LCD Backlight design and optical films.
- Hands-on experience in methods and equipment used for display metrology and familiarity with display.
- Experience with graphics/video processing FPGA implementations.
- Experience with FPGA I/O bus designs including PCI, ethernet, CAN, USB, RS-232/422/485.
- Experience with Xilinx SCC and trusted bus macros.
- Prefer Xilinx ISE, EDK, Mentor Graphics Modelsim and Altera/Quartus tools experience.
- Background in analog and digital circuit design and video/graphics interface design is preferred.
- Background with microcontrollers, single board computers, and graphic controllers/interfaces is preferred.
- Experience with Display technologies and Video Distribution Techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with Military Standards and Test Requirements a plus.
- Ability to use engineering development and test tools.
- Must meet ASR requirements to work Inside vehicles.
- Occasional overtime, and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong Multi-tasking skills.
Perks:
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
- This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
- Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required Works well in team and individually.
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
