The Medical Assistant is a key player in this team that manages the day to day patient flow in the clinic. Responsibilities:
- Ensure that daily clinic flow runs smoothly, ensure following of clinic protocols and procedures, ensure that patient experience is at a high level of care.
- Responsible for efficient and effective use of EHR
- Collaborate with Clinic Director and Clinic Administration to improve efficiencies and quality metrics.
- Follow organisation policies and applicable regulations.
- Cover all Medical Assistant duties in the clinic such as Phlebotomy (blood draws) of patients, Injections (Testosterone, Gonadorelin, B12 and other vitamins), Checking vital signs, entering lab results, assisting medical providers with patient care, greeting patients, assisting in lab operations, maintaining accurate records in EMR with adherence to all HIPAA Protocols and sheduling appointments
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Experience:
- 2 years clinic work in a busy setting
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant course
- Current BLS
Skills required:
- Knowledge of clinical operations and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Effective communication skills
- Computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
