Job Description:
Gameday Men's Health is seeking a skilled and passionate Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our revolutionary men's health program in the vibrant city of Glen Carbon, Illinois. We are not just providing healthcare – we're creating an unforgettable experience for our patients in our man-cave inspired clinic, complete with flat-screen TVs, comfortable chairs, hardwood floors, and sports memorabilia. We specialize in testosterone replacement therapy and other cutting-edge men's health services.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Notifying providers of patient arrivals
- Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
- Perform blood draws and administer injections of testosterone, Gonadorelin, B12, and other vitamins
- Check patient vitals and accurately record them in our EMR system
- Ensure lab results are promptly input into patient charts
- Assist medical providers with patient care and be an integral part of our healthcare team
- Greet patients, answer phone calls, and handle check-in/check-out procedures
- Assist in lab operations and maintain precise records in compliance with HIPAA
- Schedule appointments and keep our clinic running smoothly
Qualifications:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification
- Valid BLS Certification
- At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and medical assisting
- Experience in a related field, such as general practice, med spas, urology, family practice, lab, or endocrinology (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
