Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional front desk support in a medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our medical office, contributing to a POSITIVE patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and provide assistance as needed.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health information management protocols.
- Process patient registrations and verify insurance information efficiently.
- Utilize computerized systems to update patient information and manage electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Occasionally urine collection for drug screening, toxicology
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical administrative support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and health information management practices is essential.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and work independently.
- Experience in a clinical office setting is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 per week
