Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our facility and assuring the best patient care to our clients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Collect and verify patient information payment and lab results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist in obtaining vital signs as needed before patient consultations.
- Phlebotomy skills needed
- Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff, including follow-up care instructions.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries and CRM and direct calls to appropriate departments.
- Facilitate the flow of patients through the office, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Support the administrative team with various tasks related to outpatient and inpatient services.
- Assist in preparing patients for diagnostic procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is an asset.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Experience working within a men's health environment is a plus.
- Must be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to outpatient care and dermatology.
