Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team at Games Global Operations Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-sized, high-complexity projects, including technical support and consultancy.
Main Responsibilities
- Measure project objectives and benefits, including Critical Success Factors defined in the Charter.
- Facilitate Lessons Learned sessions and collate feedback.
- Prioritise improvements from Lessons Learned and assign action owners.
- Drive improvements by following up with action owners.
- Closure of projects using appropriate processes.
- Communication of project closure to stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Evaluate processes considering overall business objectives, implement, document, and communicate process improvement initiatives.
Operationalise (Pre-Go Live, Go Live, Post Go Live)
- Execute Deployment Plan tasks, Pre-Go live, Go Live, and Post Go Live.
- Arrange training for production teams to support products after go-live.
- Train operators to use products after go-live.
- Engage with external stakeholders.
- Ensure resourcing availability for go-live monitoring and troubleshooting.
People Management
- Manage a team of technical project managers aligned with Business Unit Strategies.
- Establish organisation structure, hire, and manage staff.
- Delegate work to project management team.
- Coach and mentor team members.
Initiation and Planning
- Create Project Management Plans, including Scope, Communication, Risk & Issues, Cost, and Stakeholder Management plans.
- Define Project Benefits, Measurements, and Critical Success Factors in the Charter.
- Set up Project Governance and Systems to manage the project effectively.
- Create and maintain Project Schedule and obtain approval from relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Agree priority improvements from project lessons learned and drive these within the Business Unit.
- Research new ways of working and recommend delivery efficiency improvements.
- Implement project management best practice and knowledge sharing.
Problem reviews
- Investigate and respond to development queries, protecting intellectual property.
- Investigate issues, replicate, classify, and provide solutions.
- Provide technical feedback for live issues.
- Analyse impacted software systems and propose solutions.
Strategic Planning
- Work with Business Units to define and prioritise roadmaps.
- Assist Business Units with Roadmaps as required.
- Prioritise roadmap changes in collaboration with Business Units.
- Keep roadmaps up-to-date after changes and communicate as necessary.
Environment Maintenance
- Handle environment reprovisions and ensure Environment Maintenance and configuration.
- Troubleshoot environments.
- Install games, Playcheck, and back-office systems.
Benefits Realisation
- Assist Business Units in setting up benefits monitoring and reporting.
- Track and measure Project Benefits, including Critical Success Factors.
Executing, Monitoring, and Controlling
- Proactively track project schedules and drive corrective action where necessary.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies on the project.
- Manage change, including Time, Cost, and Scope changes.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding project status.
- Monitor costs on the project as required by the Business Unit.
Deployment Preparation
- Conduct game releases.
- Update game configurations when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Rlevant tertiary qualification (BSC / B-comm) or Business Diploma (3yrs).
