We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Training Development Manager. The Training Development Manager is a vital leadership role responsible for fostering a culture of safety and compliance while promoting effective training programs for employees across all levels of the organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with experience in training development, safety regulations, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will work closely with department heads to identify training needs, develop comprehensive training modules, and ensure all staff members are well-versed in safety protocols and company policies. By spearheading initiatives that enhance employee safety and operational readiness, the Training Development Manager will contribute significantly to the overall success and reputation of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and train safety policies and procedures: Establish, maintain, and train staff on comprehensive safety policies and procedures required to maintain a safe environment. Lead emergency response training and preparedness drills to ensure staff readiness during critical situations.
- Review and update safety policies and procedures: Periodic review of safety policies and procedures to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage training development, roll-out and distribution: Collaborate with departmental leaders, training managers, human resources, and other support departments to roll-out and distribute training policies, procedures, and reference materials effectively.
- Review and oversite of training programs and managers: Review required training for new hires and collaborate with training department staff to improve current training policies, assessments and testing to meet specific operational needs. Responsible for staying current with regulatory changes and integrating new safety requirements into training materials.
- Incident review: Conduct a daily analysis of incident data, including but not limited to workers' compensation injuries and vehicle Incidents.
- Review incidents and root cause analysis: Assist operations with incident investigations and root cause analyses including but not limited to workers' compensation injuries and vehicle Incidents.
- Support OSHA/MSHA recordkeeping: Support OSHA/MSHA recordkeeping and reporting responsibilities.
