Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment where our youngest learners (ages 6 weeks – 12 months) can explore, grow, and develop foundational skills in a loving setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving care to infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
  • Create a responsive and stimulating environment that encourages sensory exploration, early communication, and secure attachment.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, and motor development.
  • Establish strong relationships with families, maintaining open communication and providing daily updates on each child’s growth and experiences.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom, following health and safety protocols, including diapering, feeding, and sanitization procedures.
  • Observe and document milestones, supporting each child’s progress and sharing insights with families and the teaching team.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to uphold Gan Yeladim’s values, approach, and high standards of care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working with infants in a childcare, preschool, or early learning setting.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of infant development.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with families.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Jewish traditions and Reggio Emilia-inspired teaching.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
