What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Ganim Company?
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain financial data and compliance by keeping accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will perform daily accounting tasks, including monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and recording payments and adjustments.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with QuickBooks Online and has a strong attention to detail. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company and ensure financial accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, record, and properly handle cash, checks, and vouchers
- Create financial reports for executives and other departments
- Report directly to the CEO and Executive Manager
- Audit financial records to ensure accuracy and balanced books
- Identify and reconcile any inconsistencies in financial records
- Assist with various payroll entries
- Manage invoices from outside vendors and authorize payments
- Data entry for accounts payable transactions
- Reconcile invoices to purchase orders
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist in the month-end closing cycle
- Participate in monthly inventory counts
- Prepare and present accounts payable reports as required
- Support the accounting and administrative departments as tasks arise
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (payables/receivables)
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures accurately
- Strong data entry skills and attention to numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
- QuickBooks Online experience preferred
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organization and time-management skills
Pay:
- $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
- Salaried position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week
- Occasional availability before or after typical business hours may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities
- Business hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
