What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2024 Summer reporter intern position at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK?
Delaware Online/The News Journal, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is looking for a Reporter Intern to join our statewide team of journalists for the summer.
Interns will work full-time producing breaking, trending and enterprise news stories, along with gaining experience in digital optimization, social media and video storytelling.
The internship program includes interaction and training opportunities with award-winning journalists in our newsroom and around the USA TODAY Network.
Applicants should be juniors, seniors or master’s candidates pursuing journalism degrees and passionate about beginning their careers in the field. Interns should have strong writing skills and be ready to report multiple stories per week.
Ideal applicants will have prior internship experience or experience working at university news outlets. Interns are required to live in our market during the internship and must have reliable transportation.
