Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC is looking for an experienced IT Manager, with prior hospitality experience preferred. Solid knowledge of day to date IT functions as well as AV is required.
The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and hotel guests and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.
Primary Functions:
- Be responsible for all network setup and configuration to ensure operation needs are met
- Ensure licensing compliance
- Provide support for guest interfacing technologies.
- Setup and train new employees on systems.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor systems and remote access.
- Provide daily system and user support.
- Create strategic plans and manage projects to enable design, implementation and maintenance of technology solutions.
- Manage subcontractors as directed and needed.
- Responsible for IT staffing and budgeting projections on a company-wide basis.
- Analyze and evaluate network infrastructure for capacity and compatibility for business applications and data.
- Keep abreast of and research new technologies.
- Develops policies and procedures for the procurement of IT equipment for all departments
- Develops policies and procedures for the proper and efficient tracking of IT equipment for the organization.
- Responsible for forward planning of future information technology changes and upgrades.
- Manage all IT/AV needs for guests and clients during special events.
Essential Functions:
- Establish infrastructure to support and guide divisions and departments in computing and information technology efforts.
- Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the infrastructure.
- Oversee the development, design, and implementation, of new applications, and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
- Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for the company.
- Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
- Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions.
- Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the network including the inter–and intra–building wiring plant and wireless networks.
- Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
- Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
- Oversee IT related aspects of all construction and renovation projects.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Assist with IT and AV related tasks to guests and other team members in timely manner.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS related fields.
- Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience. Prior Hotel experience is required.
- Must have hands on experience with Windows operating systems, databases, a wide variety of office applications and a strong conform level in adapting to any new programs.
- Must have hands on experience with physical and wireless networking, phone systems and audio/visual equipment.
- Attention to and development of standards and best practices for processes and methodology.
- Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Environments. Experience with Microsoft windows server configuration, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks; system development, complex project management, knowledge of Cisco and HP network hardware, client/server technology, and internet/intranets.
- Support, configure and manage Active Directory Services, internal/external DNS and DHCP services.
- Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft windows server applications, VMware products and infrastructure and hotel-specific platforms (Oracle Opera, Sabre/SYNXIS, Delphi, Knowcross, Vingcard, Aloha etc.).
- Experience in network and system security.
- Flexibility to work schedule to include weekends, holidays, late evenings.

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
