Key Responsibilities
- Program Management:
- Develop and manage healthcare programs to ensure alignment with the goals of the TRICARE Health Plan and Military Health System (MHS).
- Provide technical, analytical, and policy support for healthcare operations and the administration of programs.
- Oversee and monitor project milestones and ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.
- Conduct research, analysis, and reporting on complex clinical and healthcare management issues.
- Policy and Process Improvement:
- Draft and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines for clinical programs.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to improve integration between direct and purchased care.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new program policies and guidelines for TRICARE reimbursement, provider certification, and other critical functions.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Facilitate communication with senior leadership, external stakeholders, and contractors.
- Provide briefings, decision papers, and executive summaries to support key decision-making processes.
- Act as a liaison with government agencies, contractors, and other DHA directorates.
- Administrative and Strategic Support:
- Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating high-level meetings, including preparation of agendas and materials.
- Support the preparation and submission of responses to audits, congressional inquiries, and other oversight activities.
- Manage resources effectively, including travel budget estimates and staffing plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of Department of Defense Program Management experience within the last 5 years.
- Strong understanding of the Military Health System and TRICARE program operations.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Prior military experience or working knowledge of the healthcare delivery system in a military environment.
- Expertise in developing and managing complex healthcare programs or contracts.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong ability to navigate complex healthcare and governmental systems.
- Advanced proficiency in analyzing healthcare policies, procedures, and operational data.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
