JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate count of parts, washing and preparing parts, shipping, receiving, among other duties as required.
Essential Functions
- Unpack incoming gages from UPS, FedEx, customer drop off & daily pickup schedule as directed.
- Keep incoming & outgoing gages organized & label the appropriate shelfs/carts accordingly.
- Clean gages when needed and as directed.
- Maintain Ultra Sonic Cleaner.
- Maintain Cleaning Room.
- Deliver clean gages to the Lab in a timely manner.
- Ensure all packages are packed properly and shipped daily.
- Returning to the customer: Shipping: generate packing slip for completed calibration of in-house calibrations.
- Utilize UPS software to generate shipping labels.
- Keep the workplace and Van Bay clean.
- Receiving customer gages as directed.
- Work well with others.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Concentration on making sure all parts are accounted for throughout the processes including receiving, cleaning and packing/shipping.
- Organization skills for tracking customer instruments/gages through the process.
- Thoroughly clean each gage one at a time when needed.
- Timely shipping of gages and attention to detail a must.
- Good communication and coordination with Receiving Clerk and Shipping Clerk as well as other Company team members.
- Manager is appropriately informed of area activities as requested.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, printers and parts washer machine. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Some of the environments this position will work contain occasional loud noise levels.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is full time. Work hours are generally 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 2:00pm Fridays.
Travel
Some local travel in a company vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries to our customers may be required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- HS Diploma/GED plus experience
- Proficiency working with MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel, IndySoft, Zultys – preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in highly technical fields with specific attention to details.
