JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Operations Center Supervisor oversees the 24/7/365 operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring the safety and security of all facilities and logistics across the United States. This critical role involves the management of CCTV systems, reviewing and escalating alarm events, overseeing operational compliance, managing logistics risk, collaborating with outsourced security vendors, analyzing threat intelligence, and coordinating real-time responses to security incidents. Additionally, the SOC Supervisor leads a team responsible for continuous facility & logistics surveillance
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Management:
Recruitment: Actively participate in the recruitment process for SOC Analysts & Logistics Risk Controllers. Collaborate with HR to identify suitable candidates.
Interviews: Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and alignment with organizational values.
Onboarding: Facilitate comprehensive onboarding sessions to ensure new team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and the SOC mission.
Shift Scheduling: Develop and maintain 24/7 shift schedules for SOC staff.
Goal Setting: Set clear performance goals for SOC team members. Align these goals with overall security objectives.
Regular Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
Coaching and Development: Offer coaching and mentorship to enhance team members’ skills and professional growth.
Continuous Learning: Organize ongoing training sessions to keep the team updated on surveillance techniques, alarm handling, developing threat vectors, logistics/transportation risk, and incident response. •
Facility & Transportation Monitoring:
Monitoring and oversight of live CCTV feeds from US facilities & vehicles using advanced monitoring tools.
Detect and assess security incidents promptly, including unauthorized access and suspicious activities.
Enhance remote security vulnerability assessments and risk identification reporting through established communication channels.
Coordinate with local management or first responders during security events.
Escalate incidents as needed to ensure timely and effective response.
Alarm Signal Analysis: Receive and analyze alarm signals, review recent activity for trends, and develop proactive approaches to reduce false alarms.
Determine appropriate actions based on alarm severity and established protocols.
Vendor Collaboration & Management: Collaborate with outsourced alarm and security system vendors, ensuring on time delivery of approved scope of work.
Ensure proper functioning of security equipment and systems, addressing maintenance and repair needs promptly.
Incident Reporting and Documentation:
Document security incidents, response actions, and outcomes in detail by aggregating information and initial reporting developed by the Analyst & Logistics teams.
Maintain accurate records for management review and regulatory compliance. o Participate in business continuity planning for disruptive events and after-action reviews to continually refine SOP’s, applying lessons learned.
Conduct root cause analysis for significant incidents to identify areas for improvement.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating policy, procedures, and standards relevant to the SOC mission.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must meet the company's hiring criteria. Extensive pre-employment backgrounds checks are required.
Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and work experience required. Professional certifications preferred.
Minimum three years of Corporate Security, Physical Security, Security Operations Center, or Security Systems is required with a minimum of one year leading teams.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with local teams, external vendors, and senior management.
Successful experience building a high performing team with a positive, action-oriented culture in an operations center environment.
Experience with site security, security systems, and risk management.
Experience with supply chain risk management and logistics security.
Excellent knowledge on the implantation of best practices in relation to physical security systems and threat intelligence programs.
An analytical mind that can solve complex issues while remaining data informed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain organized.
Ability to set priorities and meet any established deadlines.
Strong communication skills, relentless attention to detail, and tactfully challenge assumptions.
Ability to present and influence stakeholders from a variety of disciplines with a proven ability to manage up and down.
Ability to research, understand, and effectively communicate data and inquiries, leveraging internal systems, and enterprise applications such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and the O365 Suite.
