Staffing Coordinator – Assisted Living Facility
Reports to : Executive Director
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday
9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible schedule)
Pay: Starts at $25/hour DOE
Job Summary:
Gardens Care Scottsdale is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for scheduling and coordinating staff to ensure adequate coverages for all shifts while maintaining compliance with company policies and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in staffing, scheduling, or a related field. A Certified Caregiver/MedTech certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverages for all shifts.
- Monitor time-off requests, shift changes, and call-offs, arranging replacements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state staffing regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Track employee attendance, overtime, and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff members.
- Maintain employee records, certifications, and training compliance.
- Communicate with staff regarding scheduling updates, changes, and expectations.
- Address scheduling conflicts and staffing concerns in a timely manner.
- Support management with reports on staffing trends, overtime, and compliance issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, or a similar role.
- Experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Certified Caregiver/MedTech certification preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Google G Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute staffing changes.
- Knowledge of state regulations regarding staffing requirements in assisted living.
- Ability to obtain an Arizona fingerprint card, CPR/First Aide care, 2 negative TB
