What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservation Agent position at Garland Lodge & Golf Resort?
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
- Answering a multi-line phone system, transferring calls to the appropriate department.
- Answering general resort inquiries.
- Making room and golf reservations for parties of 8 people and verifying the accuracy of reservations shortly before their arrival.
- Answering guest quote requests.
- Ensure billing is accurate for guests prior to the arrival to property
- Making Food and Beverage reservations.
- Making tee times for guests.
- Fulfilling guest requests and special billing.
- Making reservations for winter lodging and winter activities.
- Taking payments via credit cards or check.
- Duties may also include assisting the front desk if needed.
- Complete any tasks assigned by lead, supervisor or manager.
Personal Skills and Characteristics Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Maintain a professional manner for both our internal and external customers.
- Knowledge and use of proper phone etiquette.
- Proficient in Windows and resort management computer applications.
- Must have good organizational skills.
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
This position will require the ability to remain in a seated position for up to 10 hours, lifting of up to 15 pounds, and ability to operate a phone system effectively.
Licensing, Education and/or Other Special Certification(s) Required:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Basic computer skills are a prerequisite
- At least 2 years experience in the Conference Services/hospitality industry in a guest impact role
- Ability to operate credit card processors and account for check based deposits

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
