We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Operations Associate (Spring 2025 High-School Work-Study: Manufacturing) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be assigned to work in either the Distribution Center, loading, unloading and moving material; or the Manufacturing Center, assembling electronic components while following procedures.

We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Operations Associate (Spring 2025 High-School Work-Study: Manufacturing) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be assigned to work in either the Distribution Center, loading, unloading and moving material; or the Manufacturing Center, assembling electronic components while following procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies and systems
- Read shop orders, follow production work instruction and sample assemblies and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device using hand or power tools.
- Mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis, panel or printed circuit board
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
- Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps and knobs to assemblies using hand tools and power tools
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding and curing.
- Tend and perform operator level preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Notify management of any conditions felt as being undesirable or nonconforming to product specification and any procedures that can not be performed as documented
- Olathe associates only: Compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old
- Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift and walking long distances throughout the facility.
- Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation of buttons, switches, hand tools and knobs on delicate equipment, products and parts, in the performance of essential functions
- This position will require the ability to sit, stand, look down, bend, twist and have dexterity with hands
- Strong experience and aptitude with computers
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
