Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for creating & updating project schedules, handling client communication, collecting draws, & directing co-workers on project specifics. Best candidates are organized, effective communicators, and have strong interpersonal skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Oversee projects to ensure accurate scope is completed within budget and on-time
- Be a client advocate to the company
- Oversee budgets
- Reporting on-site issues as necessary and according to company policy
- Be a safety officer
Duties /Responsibilities :
- Receive new projects from the Sales Team for review and handoff of client
- Communicate projects needs to co-workers to ensure client's needs are met
- Update company software (Co-Construct & RingCentral) with project updates
- Create & manage project schedules to provide expectations to both clients and co-workers
- Create & send invoices to clients as per the schedule and sales proposals
- Approve budget items for co-workers to deliver on as-needed
- Assist in client selections
- Oversees the project/work site, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner
- Performs walkthroughs of project/work site to ensure quality and accurate scope
- Resolves problems and coordinates activities for the job through collaboration and communication with other management or technical staff and contractors
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills /Abilities :
- Thorough understanding of construction trades & order of construction
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to contracts & plans
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to budgets for scope of work
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects.
- Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications.
- Proper use of RingCentral, Co-Construct and any other technical applications used for project communication. In GENERAL – Be able to use a computer
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five years of related experience preferred, on the job training available.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times or 100 pounds occasionally.
- Travel to job sites is required.
