Job Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator plays a vital role in managing procurement activities, ensuring efficient purchasing processes, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The Purchasing Coordinator supports the Operations team by processing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring smooth communication between suppliers and internal departments. The Purchasing Coordinator supports the Finance team by ensuring data entry is accurately entered into the company's accounting software.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed and organized purchasing records, including invoices, receipts, and supplier contracts.
- Accurately enter and update data in procurement systems and databases.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure timely replenishment.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers.
- Prepare reports and analyze purchasing data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to verify invoices and process payments.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High attention to detail, particularly in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze data and generate purchasing reports is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk for 9 hours / day, M-F, working in front of a computer, and remain focused.
- Be able to commute to jobsites and run errands
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
