Substitute Bus Driver
Garrett Transit Service (GTS), a department of Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (GCCAC) is accepting applications for Substitute Bus Drivers, including part-time Meals-On-Wheels drivers. Hours worked per week would be based on the need of GTS and the availability of the successful applicant. The ideal applicants would have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL), class C or higher with passenger and school bus endorsements. Applicants must have an excellent driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical examination. GTS is willing to help and train the right applicant in obtaining the CDL requirement for this position. The applicants must also be willing to complete Basic First Aid and CPR training.
This is a safety-sensitive position, therefore successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug testing while employed. Also, a copy of a current driving record will be required. The successful applicants must pass a criminal background check.
