Director of Contracts
Garud is seeking a Director of Contracts consultant to work on our team! The Director of Contracts is responsible for the management of Garud’s Federal Government Contract Portfolio. This position is a highly visible role and key part of the Garud leadership team.

Responsibilities:
- Administration, maintenance, and compliance with Company contracting policies, ISO processes, and guidelines that are consistent with, and achieving compliance with government contract requirements and regulations
- Management of a variety of Federal Government Contracts (GWAC, IDIQ, MAS, BPA, etc.) and associated delivery/task orders
- Experience running entire contract management function, cradle to grave
- Responsible to personally manage certain Government Contracts and modifications, reporting, extensions, options, and changes
- Responsible for maintaining Garud and affiliate System for Award Management (SAM) registrations
- Responsible for the Garud Contract Management System and corporate agreement templates
- Work with program managers, BD, legal, subcontractor personnel, and government contracting offices to proactively resolve contract issues and changes in administering government contracts
- Responsible for subcontract formation, negotiation, and management
- Responsible for the administration of NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Supplier Agreements
- Responsible for RFP review and risk assessment, participate in proposal preparation, and contract negotiation and awards with Garud Business Development
- Maintain and Improve Company Quality Objectives as identified and measured by company performance metrics and Government performance reviews and evaluations
- Maintain vendor and customer satisfaction at Government Contract Office level
- Advises executive management of contractual rights and obligations
- Compiles and analyzes data as required, maintains historical information for assigned contracts
- Provide contract in process reviews to executive management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in leading lean and fast paced contracts organizations
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and execution
- Practical knowledge and application of the FAR, DFAR, ITAR, CAS, and other government procurement regulations
- Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe
- Strong attention to detail, decision-making, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelors’ Degree from accredited university
- 10 years of experience with leadership in contracts management, including overseeing large, complex contracts for Information Technology & Communications products and professional services in a government contracting organization
Location: Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.
