Senior Application Management and Support Specialist

Job Description

• Lead the application management and support team, providing guidance and mentorship and also training to offshore staff.
• Oversee the performance and functionality of company software solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, collaborating with the development team to implement long-term solutions.
• Conduct in-depth system audits and updates to maintain compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and deliver customized support and solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application processes, procedures, and support protocols.
• Train and support end-users on the effective use of company applications.
• Participate in on-call support rotation to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application management and support, preferably within the maritime industry.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in company Suite, SQL, scripting languages, and application monitoring tools. Knowledge of ITIL framework will be an advantage.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with maritime industry standards and regulations is a plus.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
