- Bachelor’s Degree in education.
- Educational Administration Certificate preferred.
- Employees must meet employment requirements included in the 21 CCLC guidelines and also successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Employee must have outstanding leadership skills, the ability to manage and effective school program, and be able to foster a climate of collaboration between various stakeholders.
- Preferences will include experience working with children.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB GOAL: To work with supervisor, staff, students, and parents to facilitate a smooth, positive operation of the 21 CCLC program. As the chief administrative and financial officer of the program, the project director will be responsible for administration of the grant programming and for providing assurance that activities define in the 21 CCLC grant are completed as defined in the guidelines and applications.
REQUIRED PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating of all grant funded positions.
- Maintaining the 21 CCLC webpage on the district website.
- Publishing the quarterly 21 CCLC newsletter and other recruitment materials.
- Approving grant funded curriculum and assuring alignment to the district curriculum, grant goals, and Missouri Learning Standards.
- Presiding at the Executive Advisory Committee meetings.
- Collaborating with grant partners and evaluator.
- Coordinate and assure appropriate data is collected and reported to DESE.
- Completing all required 21 CCLC reports with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Coordinating professional development for grant funded staff.
- Assuring all grant monies are spent according to accounting procedures.
- Coordinating outreach with school personnel, parents, the community, and media.
- Managing public relations to promote the 21 CCLC program.
- Making recommendations for the improvement in the 21 CCLC program.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Board approved academic calendar.
EVALUATION: Each employee will be evaluated by his/her supervisor(s) on a regular basis according to evaluation procedures established by the Board of Education. Evaluations will be based on general expectations for all employees, and the specific responsibilities of the position being evaluated. Employees who fail to meet expectations will be given assistance and opportunity to improve, and must make every effort to improve and meet all expectations. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be required to push or lift up to 25 lbs. as necessary for the safety and well-being of others. Lastly, this job requires the employee to have the vision ability to read handwritten or typed materials, and meet multiple demands from several people while interacting with other staff and the public.
