Gaskin Hill Norcross Architects/Engineers of Springfield, Missouri (GHN) is expanding our team with people who are interested in developing and coordinating building designs with architects and engineers. Your Role on the Team
You will work with architects/engineers and other design coordinators to prepare detailed construction drawings and details. This will involve editing building information models, and generating architectural plans, sections, and elevations used to communicate with the building industry.
Use software including AutoCAD and Revit to produce designs, and a variety of office and imaging applications like Bluebeam, M365, and Adobe Suite to package, transmit, edit, markup, and review designs and documents related to construction.
You may visit sites to help verify information about existing conditions that would affect building designs.
You will participate in a pattern of learning about building codes, legal requirements, and building products that are connected to the designs we produce.
You will help support our team’s culture of continuous improvement for quality control and design collaboration, especially where it involves harnessing new technologies to improve our efforts.
Education/Training
You probably have a degree in an architecture, engineering, or a similar technical field, or have work experience and initiative that directly relates to the interests, skills, and tasks outlined above. Location & Travel
The ability to commute to our office in Springfield, Missouri for regular workdays is required. Occasional travel to local project sites with an architect may occur. Travel to remote project sites is unlikely unless it turns out to be a special interest for you with corresponding experience.
Position Type
A full-time position of 40 hours/week is proposed. In approved cases working hours may be flexible. Overtime is not expected unless desired as part of your goals/objectives.
Compensation Package:
Salary range (based on training, experience, skills): $56,000 - $75,000 per year plus benefits).
