Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze job requirements, define scope, determine resource requirements, and establish production schedules and deadlines
- Provide detailed project schedules with critical milestones
- As a company representative, communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, contractors, architects, vendors, and subcontractors
- Take and coordinate field measurements, if necessary
- Work with our internal engineering team to prepare detailed and comprehensive shop drawings using 2D and 3D AutoCAD software
- Review job requirements and manage changes in drawings and additions to create a clearly defined path of construction for the shop
- Coordinate with procurement to purchase specialty materials such as glass, veneer, and solid surfaces
- Requested and coordinated sample products for submittals in conjunction with engineering
- Attend subcontractor meetings as required and document necessary information
- Monitor and ensure production and control quality from fabrication through delivery
- Handle onsite coordination with contractors and subcontractors
- Identify, formulate, and communicate change orders to customers
- Monitor and communicate project budgets
- Maintain material delivery status
- Review and approve billing requests
- Negotiate Change Orders.
- Ensure adherence to contract specifications
- Coordinate timelines and follow up to ensure goals are met or exceeded
- Communicate professionally with all company management/employees
- Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance as a company representative
- Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- 5 years of experience in architectural millwork or high-end construction project management. A focus on high-end, highly detailed work is preferred
- Some familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor is desirable
- Experience with ProjectPak, ShopPak, and Innergy is desired.
- Experience in 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programming is highly desirable
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Windows applications, including Excel, Word, etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to be self-sufficient is a must
- A keen eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to drive projects on time, on budget, and with the standard of quality required by the Company
- Proficient and comfortable with technology
- Complete ease of reading and understanding architectural drawings
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Off-hours and weekend work/coordination are sometimes required to prepare for and effectively manage projects for successful completion
- Travel out of the area will be required periodically
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and deal with stressful situations
- Project Managers must spend time in a climate-controlled office environment before a computer screen, keyboarding, and manipulating a mouse
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
- Will be required to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and on construction job sites
- Must be able to bend, squat, climb ladders, and spend extended periods walking and standing
