Clinical Nurse Practitioner - GI Specialty

Overview
Gastro Center of Maryland is a group of 18 providers with multiple locations across Maryland. We are seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner who is eager to work independently (following a training period) at various locations. The ideal candidate will have critical care experience and excellent communication skills, both with patients and fellow providers.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive and episodic care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions
• Take patient histories, perform physical assessments, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Review patient charts and diagnostic information to evaluate lab results and radiologic tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Monitor patients on therapy to assess for potential side effects
• Make referrals to specialists as needed based on patient conditions

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland State License, Board Certification, Maryland CDS, and DEA certification
• At least one year of experience in Gastroenterology or an outpatient setting preferred
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish or Chinese) are preferred
