WHAT TO EXPECT
Key responsibilities:
Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts and performs government reporting on inventory. Collects supporting documentation in compliance with Gates controls and submits for review and approval. Resolves reconciling items within a reasonable timeframe and prepares data for balance sheet review processes.- Ensures compliance with Gates Mandate for Fundamental Financial Controls and SOX matrices. Identifies and recommends controls changes as appropriate. Participate in and supports internal and external audit activities, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with IT to become subject matter expert related to inventory transactions in Oracle and improve processes related to reporting and month-end close.
- Collaborate with international Gates partners, Operations team, and Denver Operations Finance team to provide standard costing for new products.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
- Undergraduate or Master's degree.
- Finance and/or Accounting major.
- CPA or equivalent is preferable.
- 2 years' experience with general/cost accounting or operations finance analysis.
- Strong accounting knowledge with experience in all areas of general accounting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong team player: proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills: understanding of appropriate escalation points.
- Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines.
- Willingness to work under time sensitive deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Solid organizational capability of tasks and processes.
- Takes responsibility for personal development.
- Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.
- Knowledge of basic SOX controls and auditing processes and is committed to the importance of accounting standards and controls.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, SQL and/or Tableau experience a plus.
- Excited to work in the office with great teammates.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
PAY & BENEFITS
- Full-Time
- Salary: $61,000 - $82,000
- Relocation is not provided
