Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment for an assigned business segment, maintaining employee files and records, coordinating onboarding for new hires, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role also may involve supporting company-wide HR projects and initiatives, as well as reporting employee relation issues to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned business segments, including posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.

· Ensure compliance with company hiring practices and legal regulations.

· Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a seamless integration into the company.

· Prepare onboarding materials and ensure new hire documentation is complete.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, including healthcare licenses, driver’s licenses, and other certifications as required.

· Monitor expiration dates of required licenses and certifications and notify employees and supervisors accordingly.

· Report employee relations issues and concerns to the Human Resources Manager in a timely and accurate manner.

· Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters.

· Collaborate with other HR team members to support company-wide HR projects and initiatives, such as training programs, benefits administration, and policy updates.

· Provide general support and guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

· Assist in audits and provide required documentation.

Education / Experience:

· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience.

· PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.

· As this position is in the healthcare industry, obtaining a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required. The company will provide paid training for this certification.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.

· Proficiency in HRIS systems, Paycom experience preferred

· Working knowledge of employment laws and best practices.

· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

· Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.

· Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds (e.g., office supplies).

· Regular use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

· Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address complex HR challenges.

· Emotional intelligence to handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and empathy.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
