Graveyard Mentor - Youth

Gateway Academy's starting wage for night mentors is $17.50 per hour. All Residential Youth Mentors will receive an additional $1.00 boost through incremental pay increases within the first year of hire as follows:

• 6th Month Following Month of Hire
• 12th Month Following Month of Hire

Night Shifts are 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Full-time & Part-time positions available

SHIFTS MUST INCLUDE WEEKENDS

• Starting pay $17.50 per hour based upon related professional experience, plus a $1.00 first year boost

Job Responsibilities:

· Supervision and advocacy for youth, physical check every 15 minutes. Stays awake during shift.

· Monitor and assist with morning routine

· Participates in staff meeting at least once a month. Stays current on information presented in staff meeting

· Communicates regularly with supervisor, which includes responding to emails, text messages, and phone calls.

· Records information in shift report by writing information in report at the end of each shift, and verbally giving information to the next shift worker

· Participate in a culture of giving and receiving feedback.

· Assists other staff with medication when needed. Follows medical and medication procedures

· House cleanliness and maintenance

· Responsible driver for students in Gateway Academy vehicles as per driving policy as needed.

· Professional conduct in dress, actions, language, and all communication.

· Performs all other duties as assigned

**ELIGIBILITY FOR THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE TO:

* Be at least 21 years old

* Be able to pass a background check

* Have a clean driving record
