Job Description
The Gateway Nebraska Market is looking for nurses interested in joining our Director of Nursing in Training program. This is a unique and intensive on-the-job training program. We are committed to providing an excellent clinical experience for our patients and an amazing work environment for our employees.
Overview:
This is a multi-month program in which you obtain practical on-the-job training in a facility under the direct supervision of an experienced Director of Nursing mentor.
Training includes spending time on the floor as a charge nurse a couple days per week, while also participating in DON specific training such as, weekly Webex calls, learning clinical systems, regulatory requirements, attending market meetings, QAPI, Triple Check, PDPM, MDS and much more!
At the end of the program the nurse will have gained knowledge, confidence, and relationships to support their clinical leadership journey.
This opportunity may be good for you if:
* You have a desire to grow into a leadership role such as Assistant Director of Nursing, Unit Manager, Director of Nursing or MDS Nurse.
*You had a previous Director of Nursing experience that lacked the opportunity for adequate system and leadership development training.
