What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Supervisor position at Gateway Hotel & Conference Center?
Job Purpose: To ensure efficient and smooth operations for excellent guest satisfaction as well as respond in a professional and courteous manner to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
Duties and specification:
- Check guests in and out of the hotel; Perform daily Front Desk Agent duties
- Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns; Answer the phone in a timely manner
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures
- Train, direct the work of, resolve issues/problems and coach/counsel the front desk team members to ensure a quality operation
- Assist all departments in servicing the guests during high volume periods
- Assist with Front Desk Coverage as needed, including the supervision of the Guest Service Representatives in the absence of the Front Office Manager
Skills and specifications:
- Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Supervision and thorough understanding of hotel sales preferred
- Position requires computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- A positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a group
Education and qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of hotel guest experience required
