This position is a hybrid role of maintenance assistant during Marlin’s road games/off season and as a clubhouse manager when the team is at home. The Maintenance assistant assists with routine operational day-to-day work of maintaining a stadium and setting up for events. The clubhouse manager will provide a positive, professional work environment to all players and staff. Responsible for maintaining clean, organized clubhouse. This includes passing out clean laundry, picking up dirty laundry, straightening lockers, assisting players with various requests, stocking supplies, cleaning of all clubhouse/locker/training room/fitness room/conference room/kitchen-areas, and other duties, as assigned.

In order of importance (1=Most Important), the individual chosen for this role will prioritize the following responsibilities;

1.       During home games being the clubhouse manager.

2.       Road games/off season working with facility operations manager on maintenance/events

3.       Events and stadium operations.

Essential Functions

1.       Assist with facility/event management staff for preparation of games and events

2.       Assist with checking the cleanliness of the stadium before each game and event

3.       Support the operations staff with planning, set-up and staging of stadium events

4.       Support operations staff with security issues and securing the stadium after events

5.       Assist with management of game day staff and help with customer service issues

6.       Support grounds operation staff when needed

7.       Help in the hiring process of game day employee staff

8.       Assist Maintenance with winterizing the stadium in the off-season and minor repairs

9.       Other duties as assigned

10.    Meet all health and safety compliance in the clubhouse.

11.    Assist in the coordination and distribution of food and beverage items for visiting team.

12.    Clean all laundry, including uniforms, towels, etc.

13.    Must be present in clubhouse for all home games.

14.    Must be present for team arrival to perform team unpack duties.

15.    Must be present for team departure and any related packing duties.

16.    Perform clubhouse upkeep duties while the team is away from facility as directed by supervisor.

17.    Provide general support and fulfill baseball related requests from staff and players.

18.    Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneeling for long periods of time

19.    Must have the ability to work outdoors

20.    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

21.    Required to work extended hours, weekends and holidays according to the baseball/events schedule

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1.       Previous experience in facility or sports environment, or any work in a customer service environment

2.       Willingness to learn, honesty and strong attention to detail

3.       Dependable with a professional attitude

4.       Hard working and versatile with the ability to work in fast-paced environment

5.       Good communication skills and the ability to deal with all personalities

6.       Being able to make decisions, multitask and meet deadlines in a stressful environment

7.       Ability to lift 50lbs.

Education and Experience

A minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs. 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
