Gateway Middle School, an innovative public charter school in San Francisco, is seeking a Student and Campus Support Aide. Student and Campus Support Aide Responsibilities:
- Provide student supervision before school, during lunch and recess, during transitions, and after school
- Support positive behavior and student safety on campus
- Provide support in responding to behavioral needs in the under the direction the Assistant Principal
- Provide support to students in the Student Support Office (SSO), in collaboration with SSO team
- Collaborate with SSO team staff to support students to resolve conflicts through the use of restorative practices
- Communicate regularly with Assistant Principal and student support team
- Participate in Student Support Office (SSO) Team meetings
- Support with tracking of student behaviors
Qualifications:
- Commitment to Gateway's mission is essential, including a desire to work with a diverse student body
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues, parents/caregivers, and students
- Desire to be part of building common practices and the larger school culture and community
- You have high expectations for your own work, as well as that of students
- Experience working with middle school age youth preferred
- Bilingual and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Compensation:
- This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
- The position pays $30-33 per hour.
- 10-month, school year calendar
