What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Manager position at Gateway Services?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Identify area for improvement and make recommendations to the clinical team
- Monitor and assess adherence to applicable regulations, such as DBHDS
- Develop and implement compliance programs to mitigate risk and promote ethical conduct
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practice
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence
- Prepare reports on compliance activities and present findings to management
- Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance and process improvement-related matters
- Plan/execute programs that enhance staff knowledge; design/implement/maintain a quality measurement and quality rating system; and maintain criteria used in clinical decision making, service determination and utilization based on current best practices and industry standards.
- At all times, conduct interactions with clients, team members and partners in a manner that advances Gateway Service's culture and reputation
- Ensures the organization is constantly operating in compliance with Virginia DBHS regulations and local, state, and federal laws.
- Requires some travel (approximately 20% per year to Petersburg, VA and surrounding areas).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human services, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or a related role
