Title Production Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

Gateway Title Company, under Fidelity National Financial (FNF) family of companies, is a leading provider of title insurance and settlement services, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth real estate transactions. We are looking for a Business Development Professional in Portland, Maine to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and cultivating relationships with real estate professionals, lenders, attorneys, and other industry partners. The ideal candidate will have an existing book of business, strong interpersonal skills and a history of successful experiences in driving growth, prospecting clients and achieving sales goals.

LOCATION

• This position will report into Gateway Title, Lincoln branch

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with underwriters, attorneys, processors, and abstractors to resolve issues.
• Enter and update file information into the title production software.
• Work closely with closing and funding departments.
• Prepare and submit documents for recording as needed.
• Ensure title policies are issued and delivered to appropriate parties.
• Upload final documents into the title production system and maintain organized recordkeeping .
• Collaborate with internal teams/departments to ensure seamless transactions.
• Complete clerical work as assigned by branch manager.
• Manage checklists and ensure documentation is compliant with company and underwriter requirements.
• Other job duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience in the real estate industry.
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use PC and widely used software packages, e.g., spreadsheets/Excel, word processing/Word.
• Ability to learn new software packages as necessary or have experience with company operating system.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of title insurance regulations and industry best practices.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS

This position has a minimum base hourly rate of $19.00. Compensation based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
