Driver/Pack and Ship Technician

GatorStep is a healthy, rapidly growing company in the boating industry right here in Lenoir City. We have an amazing team that that serves our customers.

We are seeking a candidate to support our team.

The ideal candidate will have some shipping experience in booking flight shipments, 2 day ground, UPS, and Fedx and warehouse experience, a valid driver's license, be comfortable operating a computer, proven reliability, attention to detail and quality, and is self-motivated. Must be able to be on your feet for entire shift and easily lift packages up to 50lbs. Forklift experience a plus.

Requirements

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites (must have valid license with a clean driving record)
• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• Package retail orders in boxes suitable for shipment. Include Install Guide, Cleaning Guide, and GatorStep decals
• Load/Unload truck, get orders ready for next day deliveries
• Weigh box and write weight and dimensions in small lettering on an upper corner of the box along with SO# or as specified by manufacturers (i.e. PO# and Boat #)
• Attach Sales Order or job info to top of box so shipper knows what’s inside, place box in shipping staging area
• For OEM jobs that will be shipped by freight, find corresponding pallet from side of building, and bring inside
• Print address labels and place on each side of completed pallet
• Create shipping labels and attach packing slips as needed
• Keep packaging area neat and clean including supply shelves
• Refill shelves when supplies come in
• Performs other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid license endorsement(s) for class of vehicle being operated
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents
• Strong understanding of customer service and problem solving.
• Generally, has 2-3 years of (non CDL) driving & shipping experience.
• Forklift operator experience helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
