Primary Responsibilities
- Review and analyze client sites for areas that need improvement, deletion, or revision
- Identify the least expensive but most powerful and profitable keywords for client sites
- Improve a company's organic search results
- Optimize overall content, including copy, page headings, titles, image tags, meta descriptions, etc
- Research and monitor keywords to boost client SEO visibility and rankings
- Optimize keyword placement on client websites
- Write effective call-to-action statements
- Write original, powerful SEO content for blogs and websites
- Implement off-page SEO content strategies such as coding
- Keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics to avoid violating search engine guidelines
- Forecast trends and determine how they will enhance future traffic
- Communicate effectively and make strategic recommendations to improve website rankings and positions for target keywords
- Prepare analytic reports that include traffic, website, and keyword performance
- Consult with independent web designers to improve the navigation of a site to enhance its search engine ranking
- Utilize basic programming and web design skills to enhance SEO
- Perform competitive analysis to build actionable SEO strategies and tactics
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing and advertising, or related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years experience in SEO/SEM with an agency or private corporation
- Experience with Google Analytics 4/Google Ads/Keyword Planner and other web analytics platforms and tools (Moz, Alexa, Scope, SEMrush, etc.)
- Understanding of technical SEO components, such as website speed optimization, mobile optimization, schema markup implementation, canonicalization, and crawl error resolution
- Ability to organize projects and compile reports with attention to detail
- Utilize internet knowledge as a consumer using search engine tools
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Implement new processes and improve efficiency
- Analyze data and research trends in order to develop new strategies
- Adjust to the constantly changing landscape of search engine optimization
- Passion for SEO and digital marketing
- Outstanding ability to think creatively and identify & resolve problems
- High attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and ideas
