Overview
The Manager of corporate Finance assists with the execution of long-term financings, corporate finance projects, and reporting. This includes analyzing and coordinating the efforts of financial institutions, outside counsel, and various departments within GATX. In addition, the manager provides credit market updates, 10Q/10K support, rating agency-related analyses, stock repurchase monitoring, and debt redemption and prepayment execution.
Responsibilities
- Assists with long-term financing execution, including unsecured and secured debt in the bank and capital markets, sale-leasebacks, and securitizations with GATX personnel, financial institutions, and counsel.
- Manages ongoing sale-leaseback payments and compliance reporting, GATX credit spread and hedge premium reporting, derivative mark-to-market support, regular accounting updates, and cash forecast updates.
- Manages GATX Rail Europe, GATX India Private Limited, and Trifleet quarterly reporting, 10Q/10K inputs, Derivative Counterparty Value at Risk updates, and quarterly GATX Financial Dashboard and covenant compliance computations.
- Compiles annual bank meetings, rating agency presentations, and annual interest rate forecasts for U.S. and Europe budgets.
- Manages share repurchase program monitoring, tracking and reporting, debt redemptions, and prepayments
Qualifications
This position will interact with various departments within GATX, senior management, outside bankers, and counsel. It is a generalist position with exposure to a broad range of financial issues, including derivatives, capital markets, foreign exchange, investment analysis, corporate ratings, and forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Math, or a related major
- MBA (or in progress), with a Finance concentration preferred
- Previous Corporate Finance or related Commercial or Investment Banking History
- Solid project management, analytical, comprehension, and communication skills
- Interest rate and currency derivative modeling and execution experience preferred
As of January 27, 2025, the salary range for this position is $109,100.00 to $160,000.00. This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
This role may be eligible to participate in the Company’s short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.
