Key Responsibilities :
Analyze customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and specifications to develop accurate, timely, and competitive quotes for switchgear products and solutions.
Work with internal teams to identify labor, material, and production costs associated with projects.Oversee the quote inbox to ensure quotes are accurately entered into our CRM and promptly sent back to customers.Technical Review :Interpret and analyze single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and other technical documents to ensure accurate estimations.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to assess feasibility and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.Customer Interaction :Prepare and submit cost estimates to potential clients, often as part of competitive bid process.
Communicate with clients and sales teams to clarify project requirements, provide technical guidance, and refine quotations.Build strong relationships with customers by addressing their technical and commercial queries promptly a professionally.Cost Analysis :Assess material, labor, and production costs to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
Evaluate cost trends and recommend pricing strategies based on market conditions.Cross-Functional Collaboration :Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather input on pricing, lead times, and feasibility.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure project requirements are met.Documentation & Reporting :Maintain accurate records of quotes, revisions, and project details.
Provide regular updates on the status of quotations and track conversion rates from quote to order.Qualifications :
Education :Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred.
Experience :Minimum 1-3 years of experience in estimation, quoting, or a related role within the electrical or switchgear manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills :Proficiency in reading and interpreting single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of switchgear components, electrical systems, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL).Software Proficiency :Experience with ERP and quoting software is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Key Competencies :Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
