Senior Project Engineer - Structural
GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Kansas City, MO looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to their team. The role is a full-time position.
Responsibilities :
- Manages engineering and technician staff to complete projects.
- Coordinates structural design scope in-house and with other consultants.
- Develops, monitors, and manages project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
- Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors for their projects throughout design and construction.
- Develops and implements project specific QA/QC plans.
- Acts as a mentor and resource for less-experienced staff and assists with their career development.
- Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
- Takes an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year)
- Bachelor's Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering curriculum, Master's degree in Structural engineering preferred
- Has designed numerous advanced-industries projects and followed them through from start of design to end of construction
- Good understanding of Architectural, MEP, and Civil systems and how they impact our work
- Demonstrates effective internal and external communication skills
- Demonstrates advanced project management skills
- Experience managing large projects and budgets
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to engage with owners regarding delays and feasibility issues with designs among other potential project issues
- Revit Knowledge
- Has a PE license in the State of Missouri or the ability to obtain one within three months

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
